Christopher Tripi, DVM

Dr. Tripi is a Veterinarian at Four Paws Veterinary Center. He has been a practicing veterinarian since 2002 and has been with Four Paws since it opened in 2011.

Dr. Christopher Tripi attended the Atlantic Veterinary College located at the University of Prince Edward Island. After he graduated, he took part in an internal medicine / critical care internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Later he took part in a surgical internship at Sage Centers. Dr. Tripi’s medical interests include surgery, dentistry and informative communication with his patients and clients.

Dr. Tripi’s personal interests include: snowboarding, biking, camping and the outdoors.

Keri Smyrni, DVM

Dr. Smyrni is a Veterinarian at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been a practicing veterinarian since 2002 and has been with Four Paws since it opened in 2011.

Dr. Keri Smyrni attended the Atlantic Veterinary College located at the University of Prince Edward Island. After she graduated she returned to the Bay Area and received additional training in internal and emergency medicine at Dublin’s own Iron Horse Vetcare.

Keri enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as swimming and skiing.

Jonathan MacStay, DVM

Dr. MacStay is a Veterinarian at Four Paws Veterinary Center. Has has been a prac-ticing veterinarian since 2011 and has been with Four Paws since 2015.

Dr. Jonathan MacStay was born and raised in the East Bay Area of California. In 2011, he received his DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed his final clinical year at North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He then went on to complete a one year small animal rotating internship through East Bay Veterinary Specialists and Emergency in Walnut Creek, CA that included: emergency and critical care medicine, internal medicine, neurology, surgery, oncology, general practice medicine, and dentistry. Dr. MacStay’s professional interests include emergency and critical care, abdominal/thoracic ultrasound, internal medicine, pain management.

When he is not busy working at the veterinary office, Dr. MacStay enjoys working out, hiking, traveling, swimming, and spending time with his friends and family including his cat, Queenie whom he rescued while attending veterinary medical school.

jen
Jen, Veterinary Technician

Jen is the Practice Manager at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2011.

Jen was raised on a small ranch with horses, pigs, chickens, cats and dogs. She grew up participating in 4-H and FFA and raised both swine and rabbits. Jen has been in the veterinary field since 2004 and enjoys that every day is different and that she is constantly learning.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and two dogs; Emma and Beanz. She also loves to go on hikes, read and relax on the beach.

Emily, Veterinary Technician

Emily is a Veterinary Technician at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2015.

Emily has always had an interest in helping animals and has always had a few furry friends around the house. Her first job was at a horse stable in the Saratoga hills where she led trail rides, took kids around the property on pony rides, and practiced barrel racing.

Emily enjoys fishing, camping, off roading, and relaxing with her tri-pawed dog, America.

Sarah L
Sarah L., CVA

Sarah is a Veterinary Technician at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2015.

Sarah has always had a love and a desire to work with animals. Dogs have always been her first love, but Sarah is known as the resident cat whisperer here at Four Paws. She has over eight years of experience caring for rescue, feral and boarding felines. In February 2020, Sarah became a Certified Veterinary Assistant.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé Tanner, attending sporting events, cooking, vacationing in Lake Tahoe, and traveling.

Madison, CVA

Madison is a Veterinary Technician at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2018.

Madison always enjoyed being around animals. She grew up with many different types of animals such as dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, geckos, guinea pigs and birds. She currently has a very energetic golden retriever named Champ.

Madison enjoys being around friends, going to Disneyland and spending time with her boy, Champ.

Kareen, CSR

Kareen is a Customer Service Representative at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2018.

It was because of a homeless kitty that brought Kareen to Four Paws. Chica, the homeless kitty, wandered into Kareen’s yard sickly, thin and hungry for a new and loving home. With the help of a local rescue organization, Four Paws and a place to call home, Chica made a full recovery. Kareen was so impressed by the kindness that was practiced at Four Paws that she needed to be a part of our team.

Kareen enjoys gardening, spending time with her family and her fur babies.

michelle
Michelle, Veterinary Technician

Michelle is a Veterinary Technician at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2019.

Michelle has always had a love for animals. Growing up, living next door to a veterinary student inspired her passion to work with animals. Previously, Michelle has worked at a ranch driving a two-horse-drawn wagon and caring for pets at a boarding/daycare facility.

When Michelle is not working, she is pampering her two cats, Maui and Heather, biking and traveling.

Jenny, CVA

Jenny is a Veterinary Technician at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2020.

Jenny was raised in the Micronesian islands with no knowledge of what a veterinarian was, but always had a love and urge to care for animals. She grew up around dogs, cats, pigs and even fruit bats. Growing up, Jenny had no idea veterinary medicine could be a career, but she knew caring for animals made her happy. She was so passionate about animals, she would sneak them her food, gain their trust, play with them and love them.

In her free time, Jenny loves camping, spending time outdoors with her dog Loki and spending quality time with her family.

Rachel, Veterinary Assistant

Rachel is a Veterinary Assistant at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2020.

Rachel has always had a love for animals. She grew up with Cooper, a miniature poodle, and rescued her own dog, Sulley. She is currently in school to become a registered veterinary technician and loves working with animals.

In her free time, Rachel loves to spend time with her family and her dogs. She also enjoys baking and watching Disney movies.

Sarah C., Veterinary Assistant

Sarah is a Veterinary Assistant at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2020.

Growing up in Colorado, Sarah spent her life around animals and has worked in pet care since 2019. Sarah is passionate about the safety of pets and ensuring they feel comfortable while in her care. She understands pets feel anxious away from their families, so she takes moments to soothe pets with love and praise.

Outside of work, Sarah has an artist’s heart and is a skilled interior designer. California is the latest state she calls home and she enjoys exploring its natural beauty and wonderful wines.

Alexis, Veterinary Assistant

Alexis is a Veterinary Assistant at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2021.

Growing up, Alexis has always had a love for animals. Throughout her life she always had an animal friend in the house, whether that be a dog, hamster, guinea pig, fish or bunny. While Alexis was in high school she volunteered at an animal shelter, but it wasn’t until college when she realized working with animals made her happy. She is excited to learn and grow at Four Paws.

In her free time, Alexis enjoys working out, traveling, spending time with friends and family and cuddling with her fur babies.

Renee, Veterinary Assistant

Renee is a Veterinary Assistant at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2021.

Renee has always had a love for animals; but her first pet, Skye, took her love for animals to a whole other level. Skye is a cat Renee rescued as a stray a few years ago and they are inseparable. Although Renee loves animals of all shapes and sizes, she has a special place in her heart for cats and is destined to be a cat lady later in life. Renee is currently attending the RVT program at Modesto Junior College.

In her free time, Renee enjoys spending time with her family, eating out at a variety of restaurants (sushi is her favorite!) and spoiling Skye every change she gets.

Terilyn, CSR

Terilyn is a Customer Service Representative at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2021.

Terilyn grew up in Dublin surrounded by dogs and small mammals. From her Shar-pei Yoshi to her guinea pig named Butterscotch, she has loved furry friends of all shapes and sizes. You will recognize Terilyn by her beautiful pink and purple hair. She is more then thrilled to be a part of team dedicated to the health and happiness of your four-legged kids.

In her free time, Terilyn enjoys being around vibrant people, hanging outside with friends, snuggling her pups and dancing around.

Lauren, Technician Assistant

Lauren is a Veterinary Assistant at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2021.

Lauren loves being a part of the Four Paws team and growing and learning with us. Her interests include nutrition, toxicology, and large animal.

Lauren’s personal interests include running, hiking, baking, the outdoors, and spending time with her golden retriever Auggie. She also likes to dress Auggie up for special occasions and holidays and have a photo shoot.

Marin, Veterinary Assistant

Marin is a Veterinary Assistant at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2021.

Marin is always excited to learn new things and be a part of the team. Her interests in veterinary medicine include neurology and exotic pets.

Marin’s personal interests include reading, video games, music and hiking. She has three dogs, Candy, Cookie and Kitty; three cats, Uzi, Lola and Peach and a snake named Ginger.

Spiro, Resident Feline

Spiro is a Resident Feline at Four Paws Veterinary Center. She has been with the practice since 2012.

Spiro is the queen of Four Paws. She comforts staff on difficult days, keeps staff in line on busy day and greets clients with either chatter or sass.

Spiro enjoys lounging in cardboard boxes, chasing bugs, sunbathing and visiting with our cat friendly patients.
